April Payne graduated from Texas A&M University- Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education in December of 2005. She spent two years teaching K-5 music in Greenville ISD before making the move to Garland ISD in 2008. At Abbett Elementary in Garland, she teaches K-5 music and co-directs a 4th and 5th grade choir. She is currently certified in Orff-Schulwerk Level II and plans to complete Level III next summer.
When she’s not working, April enjoys spending time with her husband, Seth. They attend Northwest Bible Church, where they both serve on the praise and worship team.
