Ben Torres teaches K-6 music at Richland Elementary in Richardson where he directs a 4th-6th grade mixed choir and a 5th-6th grade Orff Ensemble, Rhythm Rockets, and serves as the Berkner Area team leader. In 2011, Rhythm Rocketsperformed at the annual Texas Music Educators Association clinic/convention in San Antonio as the invited ensemble to perform at the Orff Reception. Ben received his bachelor’s degree in Music from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. He completed his Orff Schulwerk training at SMU and will be teaching levels II and III movement at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway in 2011. Ben serves as the Secretary for the North Texas Chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA).
