Jan Baker has over 28 years experience teaching elementary music and is currently beginning her 14th year at University Park Elementary. A former Teacher of the Year for U.P., in 2006 the University Park Elementary Third Grade presented “Snow Day!” at TMEA. Jan is certified in Orff Schulwerk as well as Level I Kodaly and currently serves as Region Representative for Region 3, AOSA. Jan’s growing interest in folk dancing has led her to join several folk dance organizations and she has presented folk dance workshops for TMEA, the North Texas Chapter of AOSA, the Early Childhood Movement and Music Association, and several school districts. But she especially enjoys sharing the fun of music and movement with the students at University Park!
