Tammy W. Smith Torrens is a native of Lamar County Texas. She holds an AS from Paris Junior and BS in Music with a minor in education from East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce. Currently, she is working to earn a Ma in Music Education at SMU. Tammy completed all three levels of Orff Schluwerk teacher training at SMU. She has taught for Dallas ISD for the last thirteen years,and is currently lead music specialist at L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School.
